John & Erin Cabaret Productions Lands Exclusive Rights to "Grandpa Tony's Funeral"

CLARKS SUMMIT, PA - John & Erin Cabaret Productions announces an addition to their theatrical repertoire. The Clarks Summit-based professional production company has obtained exclusive rights to the interactive come

ndy "Grandpa Tony's Funeral."

Through a special arrangement wtih New York and London playwright Kevin Hammonds, the local company is now able to offer this audience-participation comedy about a mafia family funeral for production in northeastern Pennsylvania.

At "Grandpa Tony's Funeral," audience members enter through metal detectors, offer their sympathies, act as pall bearers and stand before the mourners to read eulogies in honor of the beloved Tony Balsamo, Godfather of the Balsamo Mafia Crime Family.

Widow, Margherita Balsamo tries her best to keep her composure as her world falls apart around her. Her beloved husband was found dead in a hotel and it's anyone's guess who he was with at the time. Rumor has it that the woman in question is at the funeral itself, but the main question on everyone's mind is who will fill grandpa Tony's shoes and take over as the new "don" of the family.

"Grandpa Tony's Funeral" was premiered in Carondale over 10 years ago, and featured a face familiar to John & Erin's audience.

"I originated the role of Patrick O'Connor, the hated Irish son-in-law in 'Grandpa Tony' over a decade ago," remembers managing director John Baldino. "It's one of my favorite rolls. I am so excited about bringing it and much of the original cast back to the northeast. This is a huge opportunity for us."

Booking information for "Grandpa Tony's Funeral" is available at ourcabaret.com, or by calling the company's administrative offices at (570) 795-9717.
